You may have heard a lot of talk about the Gluckman report that has been released recently. The report recommends a safety level of 15mg/100cm2. Currently it is 1.5mg/100cm2 as per Standards NZ. Lots of people have commented publicly about it and many people and groups have said they will be adopting the 15mg/100cm2 limit including REAA.
However, Tenancy Services/The Tenancy Tribunal and the insurance industry, which are the 2 groups that have the most bearing on property industry, have not said anything for the moment. It looks like a review will take place with regards to this issue will take place later in the year.
